Version 1.6

Version 1.6 was released on 16 January 2023, containing several new track tools, and improvements to multiplayer. It initially entered beta on 9 December 2022.

New features and fixes in V1.6 were covered in the October, November, and December devlogs.

Key features listed in the Update Notes are:

• Multiplayer optimizations
• Private simulation mode for multiplayer, improving game speed and reducing bandwidth requirements
• Direct connection mode for multiplayer, working around bandwidth limits on the Steam Relay network
• Track curve weight, allowing the halfway point between two track nodes and move it
• Track split and tape tools, a new suite of tools for modifying existing track
• New "hold" mode option for the track editor, which only enabled tools while the player holds down the relevant hotkey
• Track editing optimizations
• Path tracing options for trains, showing the projected path of a train
• Bulk edit options for trains
