New features and fixes in V1.19 were covered in the March 2026 and May 2026 devblogs.

Key features in the 1.19 update as listed in the update notes:

  1. Raster: PNG, JPG, WebP.
  2. Vector: MapLibre Vector Tiles, Mapbox Vector Tiles.
  3. Containers and sources: PMTiles, HTTP TileJSON and HTTP directory pattecccccccrns.
  • Added support for external map sources, including online maps served over HTTP.
  • Added the ability to configure custom sources through Map Options → Sources → New Source.
  • Custom HTTP sources can use a TileJSON file (recommended) or a URL pattern with {z}, {x} and {y} placeholders.
  • Added a native Linux build targeting the latest Steam Runtime 4.
  • Enabled cross-platform saves between Windows and Linux.
  • Steam Cloud saves are automatically shared between both platforms.
