In NIMBY rails, there are two geographical layers that can be displayed on top of the base map:
- The population layer, showing population density.
- The regions layer, showing administrative regions.
Behind the scenes, there are also layers used by the game for visualisation.
- The elevation layer, used for drawing hill shading visuals. This uses DEM.
